It’s high time I actually started writing again.
Ever feel like you’re wandering for what seems like forever, only to realize you might be slightly lost and can’t find your way back, or find the way to where you need to be?
One of the common themes throughout my life that has stuck with me no matter what stage of life I’m in or what state my life is in: the open road. I don’t call myself a travel enthusiast, but rather a travel nut. I love seeing new places, peoples, and things. I’m usually happiest when I’m out on the open road. The open road and I are old friends.
When unable to travel and explore, it affects my mental heath, and in turn my moods. This isn’t really good for anyone, myself included. If 2020 has taught me anything, it’s that mental health is just as important, if not more important than physical health.
If by some chance I manage to get my hands on a van, when I start the conversion process, I plan on streaming the process, and I plan on filming it to highlight the process. I plan to film and stream my adventures for anyone interested in watching, and basically bringing the world to people from my point of view.
Lately I’ve started purging all my belongings, and I’ve been streaming this process twice a week. The goal is that by the end of 2021, 90% of my belongings are going to be out the door. Out of all these things, I’m picking out things to sell, and I’m trying to promote my etchings more, as this is partially how I plan to fund the van. I don’t eve know if this is gonna work, ya know? I’ve no idea if this is just another hyperfixation, a hare-brained idea, or something I’ll actually make happen.
All I know is I won’t be truly happy until I’m at least somewhat nomadic and free on the open road.
Well said keep up the good writing
